Rachelle Putnam
Global IT Director, General Dynamics Land Systems
Rachelle Putnam serves as the Global IT Director for General Dynamics Land Systems, and is responsible for managing Information Technology for the US, Canada, Australia, and UK. Rachelle oversees the development of IT strategy, deployment of new technologies, and maintains daily operations. Over her tenure, Rachelle has successfully led the company through several transformation projects, including multiple application implementations, a transition from a fully outsourced IT model to an insourced organization, and an engineering digital transformation project focused on reducing configuration churn. Rachelle joined General Dynamics in 2005, after nearly 10 years of implementing Oracle software with consulting firms Arthur Anderson and BearingPoint. In this role she worked closely with clients to re-engineer global business processes to gain full advantage of ERP technology. Rachelle is a proud member of the Detroit Chapter of the Society for Information Management and has served as Secretary Chair since 2020. She earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics and Management from Albion College.
