We are worried that robots and automation will soon take over our jobs. Turns out that could be the case because there may not be enough humans left in the workplace. A Korn Ferry study predicts a global talent shortage of more than 85 million by 2030, resulting in about $8.5 trillion in unrealized annual revenues. In the tech industry alone, the U.S. could lose out on $162 billion worth of revenues annually, unless it finds more high-tech workers. No doubt, the pandemic has changed the way we work. And yes, technology has been the bedrock of our lives - professional and personal. We also proved that companies can continue to innovate, irrespective of where the talents are located. Now, it's our responsibility - companies, universities and government - to plan and prevent the talent shortage from happening so we can keep the tech eco-system humming. But how? In this session, the experts will share their insights on: * Best practices on reskilling or upskilling professionals * Ways to foster existing workforce * Educating and preparing the next generation of engineers * And more.
