Laura Longcore

Vice President, Worldwide Learning, Microsoft

Laura Longcore is Vice President of Microsoft’s Worldwide Learning organization, where she leads a global team that develops skilling strategies and implementation plans for customers, partners, employees, students, and educators focused on building a digital-ready workforce. A business leader who focuses on the development of world-class technical and professional training expertise, Laura empowers her people to keep abreast of the changing needs in a digital world. Before moving into the Learning function, Laura led the global Data & Artificial Intelligence consulting practice within Microsoft. Her remit was to enable enterprise customers to deliver business solutions that augment human ingenuity with AI-based technologies. Laura has held various positions since joining Microsoft in 1999, as director of E-commerce in the Worldwide Operations team. Other key roles during her tenure include Vice President of Solutions Strategy & Operations, where she was accountable for offering development and go-to-market strategies; General Manager of U.S. Partner Services, where she was accountable for consulting and support to channel partners; and director of the Developer Evangelism team and Emerging Business organizations. Prior to joining Microsoft, Laura served as director of E-Commerce for Boise Cascade, where she led one of the first business-to-business internet initiatives. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Illinois State University.
