Mala Bhat is the Director of Software Engineering at Dell, where she has been heading numerous key initiatives and programs. An Electronics & Communication Engineer with an MBA in Sales & Marketing, Mala has over 22 years of varied industry experience in Research, Product, and Service companies. She started her career in Indian Institute of Science Bangalore as a Project Assistant, and later worked for Sharp and Mphasis before joining Dell. Mala has been with Dell for the past 10 years, during which she has driven two major process transformations, Agile and Pivotal (XP), across multiple teams globally. She also established the technology framework for seamless migration of numerous Dell applications. She has donned multiple roles at Dell including Lead Program Manager, Engineering Manager, and Engineering Leader. Apart from work, Mala is part of many CIO-driven Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and Mentorship programs. She strongly believes that empowering women and providing children with the right education can uplift the community as a whole.
