Peggy Kilburn
Global Program Director, WITI
Peggy Kilburn is currently the Global Program Director for Women in Technology International (WITI), responsible for program development, speaker recruitment/management, and onsite/virtual operations of WITI's summits and special programs. As well, she is Managing Director for the Women in Technology Hall of Fame Awards, and had previously served in both capacities as an independent contractor to WITI since 2013. A seasoned director of such major conferences as COMDEX, AppleFest, ComNet, Harvard Computer Graphics Week, and Softcon, Peggy was the founding conference director for Macworld Expo and ran it for 14 years, zestfully growing the program to over 100 sessions with 375+ speakers. The company she founded, Peggy Kilburn Conferences & Events (PKCE), developed and administered more than 2,000 programs for such clients as Boston University, CeBIT America, Clasma Events, Customer Engagement Technology World, Harvard University, pulvermedia, Smart Grid Interoperability Panel, SRI International, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. PKCE also provides operations management support for Score Publishing, producers of Project Voice, Digital Book World, and Euphonious. Additionally, since 2015 Peggy has helped the Asheboro, NC community organize The Heart of Christmas Dinner - a free dinner and party on Christmas Day, for anyone alone for the holidays. She is an ardent booster of community theatre, both onstage and behind the scenes; and is eager to pursue a second career as a Voice Over Artist, with a longheld secret ambition to be the voice of a Muppet and/or a Disney cartoon character. Peggy holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
