Laura Fontana
Vice President, Innovation Group, Wells Fargo
Laura Fontana is a product strategy lead for the Wells Fargo Innovation Research & Development team. She is responsible for the Distributed Ledger Technology Program, investigating distributed ledger based solutions and identifying opportunities across the enterprise to define a framework and strategy for adoption. With over 20 years of product development experience, Laura joined Wells Fargo in 2008. As part of Digital Payments, she supported the online and mobile transfers & payments services, working on many digital transformational enhancements such as the universal transfers module, the Wachovia integration for money movement, and the technical transitions required to adopt online collections and the modern user experience across digital devices. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Laura led the marketing and product development of alternative merchant payment solutions at Blackhawk Network, and online public sector procurement services at Epylon. She also has extensive product development and marketing experience with software development tools, methodologies, and best practices. Laura earned a bachelor's degree in English Literature with a secondary focus in Economics from Stanford University.
