Pengling Chan
Vice President, Application Services, Capital Group Companies
Pengling Chan is a Vice President in Information Technology at the Capital Group Companies. As part of ITG's Client Experience Team, she's responsible for providing technology strategic direction, enablement, and support to North American Client Groups' Sales and Products business areas. Pengling joined Capital Group in 2007 and has played IT leadership roles supporting Private Client Services, Equity Trading, and Integrated Marketing. Starting out her career as a Computer Programmer in China, Pengling has been in the Information Technology industry for 23 years, providing strategic partnership and solutions to enable businesses. She built broad experience in application development, building high-performing global teams, strategic sourcing in Investment Management, Banking and Mortgage industries. Pengling is passionate in empowering women in technology and engaging next generation in STEM. She leads efforts to bring women in IT together to create learning and support networks to advance their careers, and runs a rotational experience program to bring high-potential college graduates into the IT workforce. She served as Co-Program Chair for Women In Technology International's Orange County Network, and actively introduces young girls to STEM. Pengling holds a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering.
