30 minutes of Yoga Nidra equal 2 hours of sleep. Research shows those who practice Yoga Nidra (which means "aware sleep") experience reduced levels of depression, stress, and anxiety - and an increase in mood, quality of life, and well-being. “Yoga Nidra is essentially making space for the brain to rewire negative thought patterns and destructive habits.” For this dynamic guided relaxation meditation, you will need a quiet place to sit or lie down, an eye covering to block the light, warm clothing, and a Sankalpa (positive intention).
